Introducing a new book: The St. Louis Browns - The Story Of A Beloved Team

The  Big Browns Book countdown is on!

We’re  into the homestretch…just one month to go before the September 15, 2017 national release of St. Louis Browns:  The Story of a Beloved Team, by Bill Borst, Bill Rogers and Ed Wheatley; published by Reedy Press of St. Louis, with a special forward by Bob Costas.  This book is unlike any previously produced on the subject of the St. Louis Browns.  It is destined to become the definitive source of the team’s splendid history.  Reminiscent of the good, the bad, and the ugly, The Story of A Beloved Team contains hundreds of unique and colorful stories supported by exquisite photography depicting the players, the games’ action, and associated memorabilia of the team and period.

Be sure to get in on a first edition of what will certainly become a baseball collector’s item.  Our first run is 4000 books and, in addition to being sold through our Fan Club,  copies will also be available nationwide in major box stores, as well as online sellers like Amazon and Barnes & Noble, so we’re expecting the first run to go fast.

Price is $36.00:  This is a 184 page, hardcover coffee table book, good-sized at 11.5” X 9” and chock-full of stories, pictures and memorabilia—many unseen for decades.

Best way to get your copy is to reserve one (or more!) when you make your reservations for the St. Louis Browns Fan Club Annual Luncheon, scheduled for Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Holiday Inn Route 66 on Watson& amp; Lindbergh.  Then, when you show up at the luncheon, your book will be waiting for you. It’s a great way to save on shipping and, by buying directly from the Fan Club, you will be helping to cut out the middleman and keep more of the book proceeds within the organization.

The authors of this book are not making a penny of profit off of it.  It was truly their labor of love and a way to ensure the Historical Society and Fan Club remains financially viable for future generations of Browns fans.
